Kā arī šeit būs karte ar fotoradariem. Interesanti zināt, Zivtiņa kungs teica, ka fotoradari tiks likti t.s. "melnajos punktos" un netiks likti uz tiltiem, tomēr, kā redzams, viņš atklāti melojis vai arī dezinformējis cilvēkus un fotoradari tiks izvietoti uz tiltiem, kas, manuprāt, radīs tikai vēl lielākus sastrēgumus un avārijas situācijas, jo ir un būs cilvēki, kuri psiholoģiski nespēj pabraukt garām fotoradariem nenobremzējot..
Un interesanti zināt, kāpēc gan fotoradariem ir tikai 3km/h kļūda? Lai pelnītu naudu, jo Policijas virsnieku asociācija (Association of Chief Police Officers
(ACPO)) ir noteikusi, ka mašīnas kļūda iespējama +/-10 kmh robežās dēļ:
Spidometra kļūdas;
Atšķirīgā riepu izmēra;
Temperatūras;
Spiediena riepās;
Visi šie faktori ietekmē ātruma kļūdu, kas arī rada šo +/-10 km/h kļūdas diapazonu..
Vai CP domā, ka visi cilvēki brauc ar ideālu spiedienu riepās, vai viņi ir ņēmuši vērā arī temperatūru t.i., tās ietekmi uz riepu gumiju?

Winter time...
Winter is almost here. And what to do in winter?
Do you still have such a question? You must be out of your mind.. Winter is meant for winter fun - different winter sports, drifting on ice lakes, snowboarding, skiing, snowball fighting e.t.c., but that's not everything.. When to repair your summer car? That's right! In Winter! :)
Got new fuel pump, and soon will try to change it. A lot of work needs to be done before that, but everything will be ready when the right time will come!
And of course.. One more tiny thing.. Bought new project car. Really one big project car:
No engine, no tranny.. just body! Perfect beginning for a beauty project car. So now I only need a 5.7 or a 6.6 L engine and a manual tranny. Where to find such strong things? Not here in LV.. Or maybe?

So, this is it! Have nearly finished my work at home, so will be able to go to EE, to biggest American car meeting in Baltics.

Final news about car
So. The final news about my car.
Was driving home from work 10 min ago and just drove behind some random car and then suddenly looked at spidometer. And guess what! How fast do you think I was driving? Right - more than 70 km/h -> ~94 km/h. And with no spitting or choking - clean and smooth driving. And I did nothing more to my car since this mornings engine check at my mechanic and he just checked the car... So there are only one real explenation - something was inside the carb and carb didn't like it or Poland gasoline was too bad or the opposite - too good and clean for my engine. Who knows.
But I can say one thing - it feels damn good, that I can drive easy and clean again! :))))))
So - need to get ready for next trip. Where shall I drive? Not far and somewhere here in Latvia -> Cabrio meeting on 09.07 or to American Beauty Car Show to Haapsalu (Estonia)?

Sooo...
Went to my mechanic-electric with my few questions about my possible reason for my problem with car - lambda probe, carburetor, hill brake in exhaust system - don't even know how it works, but I have such thing in my exhaust system :D
Checked a little bit on everything and like always - car is running excelent when in service. But lambda probe is ok, yea, I could change it, if needed, but i can drive with this one also, no big deal.
Hill brake - ok. hmm... what's left? Carburetor - looked a little bit more on that, looks like everything works as it should from outside - what's inside - don't know, he's not too good in mechanical things, but the other mechanic said - that's a carb, how many cars today have carbs on them? Only oldschools and old American muscle cars, new cars have injectors, turbos e.t.c. so he said that he knows also nothing about carbs, but possible reason for all the problems is a carb. Opportunities for fixing the problem? There are few - take off the carb myself, wash and clean it, oil it and put it back, drive and leave the car for unknown time at service - there are only 2 people who still works with carbs in Riga officially, buy a new carb for 100 $ or the last one, assuming that the problem is some dust in the carb - drive further and hope it will come out itself - not that good idea, but may work...
So it looks like I'll have some pretty rough weekend :D

Brīvdienas sākušās
Kādu laiciņu nebija sanācis šeit neko uzrakstīt, bet tā kā ir sākušās Jāņu garās brīvdienas, tad jāieraksta ir kāds jauns raksts.
Bet ko nu par Jāņiem. Tātad ir brīvs laiks, ko var veltīt mašīnai.
Pēdējās pārmaiņas ir bijušas lielas, bet neredzamas tiešā veidā - salaboju durvju eņģes un tagad durvis veras daudz vieglāk ciet, kā arī izpūtēja truba beidzot ir līdz galam pārmetināta. Lai gan skaņa bija daudz dobjāka un skaļāka ar cauru izpūtēju :D
Tagad atkal esmu izjaucis paneļa vidējo daļu un veicu nelielus remontdarbus.
Un tā kā bija sanācis arī pāris reizes tā kārtīgi pabraukt pa tumšām naktīm sapratu, ka ar vienu vidējo lampiņu salonā ir par maz un tāpēc centīšos uzmeistarot uz ātru roku kādu papildus lampiņu. Tad jau redzēs vai izdosies, jo jau pēc nedaudz vairāk kā 24h kopā ar tēti un vēl 2 cilvēkiem dosimies uz Poliju uz Amerikāņu auto salidojumu.
Ak jā. Pavisam biju aizmirsis uzrakstīt par saviem piedzīvojumiem T.A. :D
ak mana vecā galva jeb laiks paskrien tik ātri, ka pat aizmirsu uzrakstīt.
Un tātad lielais piedzīvojums sākās "Saulkrasti Wanted 2011" sezonas atklāšanā, kad veidojot nelielus pigorus kaut ko salauzu. Man par patīkamu pārsteigumu UScars.lv bija sagatavojuši nelielu papildus balviņu visiem dalībniekiem AtlasMotorā - ritošās daļas diagnostika bez maksas. Tieši kā reiz - kaut kas salauzts, bet nezinu kas - jāaizbrauc pārbaudīt.
Aizbraucu, cenšos paskaidrot, kas man ir apmēram noticis, jo nezinu (nezināju tad), kas man īsti noticis. Tātad iedzen boksā un sāk pētīt, pasaka pāris nenozīmīgas lietas par gumijām, kuras uz nākošo T.A. vajadzētu nomainīt - to, kas paredzēta 2012. gadā :) bet tā arī neatrod, kas varētu būt tas, kas man tur sitās un grab u.t.t. - nemāku aprakstīt.
Tad aizbraucu pie kaimiņa, kurš ir tīri tāpat kā mēs auto hobijists un šo to skrūvē un taisa, ir superīgs angārs ar pacēlāju, visādi štrumi un vēl whiskas un tā nu - tikko aplējos ar alu, iesākot līgot :D - nu labi, tas ne pa ķeksi, bet tomēr...
Tā nu mēs tur paceļam augšā un arī nevaram saprast, kas, ko un kā, tad pierunāju izbraukt vienu līkumu, lai viņš arī paskatās un varbūt sapratīs kas tur ir... izbraucam un šis saka - nu tāda sajūta, ka man ar stieni pa pakaļu sit, pasēdēt nevaru! Uzceļam vēl otru reizi augšā un reku ir - ātrumkārbas spilvens beigts. Ieminot pedāli grīdā ātrumkārba sitās pret mašīnas apakšu un tas arī bija tas, kas likās, ka sit un rauj u.t.t. - tīri normāli. 10 Ls - spilvens un nomaiņa pie kaimiņa un mašīna kā jauna! :)
Un tātad pienākt T.A. - un par ko man piesienās? Lampas par zemu un tā kā biju uzlicis jaunus bremžu puslokus 2 nedēļas pirms T.A., bet pēc nobrauktiem 200 km nebiju noregulējis atkal stingrāk, tad vēl iedeva par to, ka labais ritenis bremzēja sliktāk nekā kreisais un viss... 2 punkti. Tas nekas nav - aizbraucu mājās 1,5h un viss skādes novērstas :D redz kā - pa 3,5 gadiem auto no miroņa būšu salabojis uz ideālu auto. :)))))
Tas tā iesākumā :D
bet pagaidām - back to work!

Long time haven't written anything, but now it's time to write some good and "finally done" news.
As I like driving and cars - I suppose you have noticed it by my blog :D
So, last Friday (27.05) I finally passed my third driving exam. Why third? Because I now have 6 driving categories on my drivers licence - see picture below. Now I can sit and drive with almoust any car. Well actually with any car! :)
So, hope you had a good weekend, because mine was realy great! ;)

The season is opened in Estonia
This Saturday me and my dad were in Tallinn for Estonian American car season opening. Over 100 cars - Mustang club, Firebird club, Harley club and many other cars. If not wrong then the most type of the cars were Mustangs, then came Firebirds, then Cadillacs, Buicks, Chevy Vans, Oldmobiles and other. The meeting was average. Why? The main cons were - organisation problems, too less police escort for the participants through the city, so we were seperated and some times I was left with 10 more cars and we didn't know where to drive, because the rest of the cars were far away in front or back because of the traffic lights. But still it was ok. Met some friends from last year and saw some new cars.

It's warm and last friday was awesome!!!
Just drived around some 200 - 250 km for fun and relaxation! Drived slowly enjoying the sunset over the road.... And smiling everytime somebody looked back - so smiling all the time! :p
This feeling is just - no words for this feeling - well there is, but the I would have to write verrrrry long post :D
So, tomorrow I'll call my masters about door panels - maybe they will be ready, then will buy new "shoes" at the end of the next week and then on the 30th of April - season opening, hobby tuning and cruise in Tallinn (Estonia). For a shame no Belarussia - our goverment can make big pile of ****, but can't make it all good... But still time with friends will be good, no matter where - Tallinn, Mynsk or Riga! :)))

New things
Today was walking through the building materials store, yes building materials! and looking some parts or ideas for my car. You will tell that I'm stupid or just not thinking straight?! But original parts sometimes are very bad quality, they are expensive and if you're making something a little bit different than original part, then the originla part will not fit. For example my doors and speakers - they are not original so I have to think some other way of making it look good! :)
Tomorrow will take out number from Road department and Saturday will drive to ex-calssmates car service to take off gastank, change oil and gas filter, oil and some other stuff. So to say - getting ready for season! :)

Today was weard!
Today was weard a weard day! :D
Morning - very sunny and it felt just like the spring is here, but then in the afternoon - snow! SNOOWW! That was just awkward! But I guess it's normal. But I have some news.
Sooo - 07.04 - Ropaži! First time this year, first meeting or at leats something like that and I'm going and my dad - two Birdy's! Next weekend I'm going to take off my gas tank, clean it, replace fuel filter, clean also the floor, put on some anti corosion foams e.t.c, so that my car is clean, shiny and ready for this season, 'cus it's going to be the best ever! :))))
If everything will be as planned, then this season my car will visit these countries:
LV - of course :D
LT, EE, DE, POL, BY and maybe some other... This will be CRAZE! ;P
But for now - have a nice weekend!

Sooo - 07.04 - Ropaži! First time this year, first meeting or at leats something like that and I'm going and my dad - two Birdy's! Next weekend I'm going to take off my gas tank, clean it, replace fuel filter, clean also the floor, put on some anti corosion foams e.t.c, so that my car is clean, shiny and ready for this season, 'cus it's going to be the best ever! :))))
If everything will be as planned, then this season my car will visit these countries:
LV - of course :D
LT, EE, DE, POL, BY and maybe some other... This will be CRAZE! ;P

A terrible mistake
A terrible mistake has happend!
Why is it snowing outside again? :O ITS SPRING damned... yeaa... now I will have to cancel my schedule for one week - again, because the spring is not here :@
But that's ok. There's still time till the end of April! :)
but yea... I thought I will be able to start my season on the 1st of April, but it looks like not...

Spring is coming verrry fast!
Forgot to mention, that few more things are done and will be done in the next 2-3 weeks:
1) Changed air filter, spark wires and some other stuff. Now only need to change oil, oil filters and do some exhaust repairs, which didn't do last season.
2) Interior - doors will be ready in 2 weeks and then I'll post some new pictures. :)
Untill that - have a nice time and Smile! Spring's already almoust here! :D

Winter is still here, but Spring's not far!

Although days are getting longer and temperature in day's middle rises even till +10 C, in evenings when I get home it's still a little cold, so I'm working inside the garage or house. Few things I'm working on now or have done with my Firebird:
First of all - door sidin, as it was not that good, I'm restoring it with little modification in speaker things:
I know, I know! That it looks scary and wtf, but it's only the base and the shape. Not to worry there's still plenty of work to do.
And one little thing with LED. Interesting little thingy's. Small eletrical consumption and bright light, for the interior lightning:

The Spring is right here behing the corner and so are the plans for Summer season.
Sooo what are my big plans for this summer? Easy - fun, driving around and meeting new people in American car lover meetings. The only exception this summer will be that I have planned to go abroad Baltic states - Belarus, Poland and maybe even Germany. Can't tell more, but I think this summer is going to be even better than previous, because mod's and upgrades are happening to my car.
